For the small-size pipe and not low-altitude, water-hammering effect is not so serious problem, but the big-size pipe line does matter, when check valve performs fast, it will cause water hammering effect, so that it may cause damage for the pipe and other installations. That’s why hammer should be applied into check valve in terms of size of pipe and pressure to make it slow. Hammer-less check valve means there is no hammer. Without hammer, check valve will activate with electronic-signal by small electronic motor.
